Awkwafina An American singer and actress began with humorous rap tracks that dealt with issues of race and sexuality. Her career expanded to Hollywood after she released several rap songs. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents within Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was via the trumpet. Apart from classical music and jazz, she started studying hip-hop when she was in her teens. Following a focus on education, she earned the degree of journalist in university and also a women's study specialization. However, it wasn't until she graduated that she shifted her focus to music. After gaining viral fame through the Internet, her song My Vag was a reaction to the song of Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually was included on the debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also contained viral hits like body positive Queef and a wink-y home tour NYC Bitche$. The second track linked into Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, published in the year 2015, and was another initiative. The singer decided to make a career as an actor following the completion of her previous two endeavors, author and musician. In addition to early shows like Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in films like Neighbors and Storks. Her breakthrough came in the year 2018, with several notable films like Dude Ocean's 8 as well as Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she released the EP in Fina We Trust.
